How it all started...
Our Story: Three People. One Burden. A Mission for All Nations.
Compel Church Chesapeake began with just three people and a burden to see lives transformed by Jesus Christ. What started as a small gathering grew quickly. Within nine weeks, more than 100 people were in attendance—a beginning that revealed the opportunity and responsibility to reach our community with the Gospel.
During those early weeks, God began dealing with Pastor Nicc about the mission: “Compelling all nations to faith in Jesus Christ.”
That calling would shape our identity. The Gospel is for every age, every background, and every race—for men, women, boys, and girls. Everyone needs the hope found in Jesus, and everyone deserves an opportunity to hear His message, experience His love, and grow in faith.
Out of that conviction, we became Compel Church Chesapeake. We began gathering in a temporary location at 8:30 AM, carrying a vision that reached far beyond the room we occupied. Each Sunday became another opportunity to welcome a family, pray with someone, and introduce another soul to Christ.
Today, that burden continues to move us forward. As our church grows, we are preparing to expand into a permanent location and offer two Sunday services beginning in late spring. This next step will create more room to welcome people, build relationships, and make disciples.
